Minecraft

Another game review? Of course! What game? (Yes I had to do this game. I just have to.)
MINECRAFT
One thing that you should always know, is to start Minecraft knowing nothing. I started with the wiki page and
this video : http://bit.ly/9GpbW1. But do yourself a favor and don't open any tutorial UNTIL you have tried to play the game 5 times yourself. When an expert gives you tips for your first night, you have eradicated some fun off of Minecraft. Anyway, let's go on:

Controls
The controls are very, very basic. WASD to move, hold left mouse button to destroy blocks, right mouse button for placing destroyed blocks. The inventory button is E. The 'sneak' button is the left shift button and also a VERY useful technique. It makes you able to stand on edges and not falling down.
Gameplay
This is where Minecraft shines. The gameplay. When you make your first world, you start preparing for the night where thre are all types of monsters. How do you prepare you ask? Well start collecting blocks, and then there will be a little item that has fallen! Now with those items start crafting! Open your inventory and start crafting! A little tip from me, is to always hear what is happening. And that's the most what I can explain without going into spoilers. If you like spoilers though, check out the minecraft wiki!
Also, if you are a 'builder-guy' type, you can play on creative where basically Minecraft becomes lego(minus those bumps, damn does it hurt stepping on those!)

Audio
The music is pretty good, although the pause between one song and the other is a bit too long for my taste. The sounds of walking are a bit repetitive, but I haven't truly thought about them, amongst the dangers of the night. There's also some pretty scary sound when you are exploring caves. A big tip though, always hear what is happening around you and always know when some strange sound happens.
Graphics
The graphics are just marvelous. Kidding, it's more ugly than you can imagine. But hey, if you like advertisements, you can try out Sphax's PureBDcraft! It's makes Minecraft have delicious graphics.

Requirements
The requirements are normal for this game, although be very careful when using TNT in this game. It lags like having a dial-up modem with someone on the phone and using the internet.
Verdict
Depends on what you like. If you can give a game a chance, you will see that you will give 100+ hours to this game. If you can't, well play the game at a later time. It's VERY addicting!

Life lesson

So yes I have friends and I learned a new thing today. NEVER ever touch your socks while your door is unlocked. My friend came in and was like WTF when he saw that. He didn't even think about touching the keyboard.

Angry Birds

Welcome to the review of Angry Birds!
As you people should know, I'm a guy and I have internet. Well while I browsed the big internet I found some people talk about a game called "Angry Birds". Due to peer pressure, I bought it for VERY cheap(apparently 2 dollars in the US) and was very happy in buying it. This review is about the PC version. There are also Mac, iOS, Android, Zune and probably every other computer versions of this game out there...

Plot

Angry Birds has a short plot. There are some birds who have laid some eggs. While said birds are busy, some pigs get hungry and take their eggs and start to cook them on a fire. The birds get angry and they make a slingshot while the pigs are busy hiding in their abode. Nothing quite Final Fantasy-ish, but it's a quite unused plot, to my knowledge.

Gameplay

It's a rather normal physics game. You have a slingshot to the left, a level designed to the right with pigs in it. Your goal is to squish or hit the pigs. With what you, ask? Well with the pre-defined birds near the slingshot. Those birds can be different: average red birds(who are actually quite useless), blue birds that when you click on the screen, breed into three even smaller birds, yellow birds that when you click on the screen speed up and others. Once you kill all the pigs, you are rated on a three star scale on how you scored. Getting all the stars on each level is a little bit ambiguous, because there are around 150 levels, which is a lot considering the fact that the game ramps up the difficulty very quickly. The game also divides the levels into many different themes. A normal theme, underground theme and an old western theme.

Sound

The sound of pigs grunting, birds flinging and wood/glass/stone breaking is filling a bit of the quietness, even though the game lacks in-game music. The menu theme is very good though.

Graphics

The graphics are very cartoony. Nothing standing out much about the graphics except the main menu when you could just easily daydream!

Overall

It's quite a good game. You also should have some playlist on because it can get quite lonely having no music. A insanely good way to procrastinate! If you don't have it and are quite short on money, you can even try it out on the google chrome store and the bazillion copies floating around on the internet.

HELLO WORLD!!

Welcome to my blog where I will (most supposedly) ramble on about random stuff like video games and pretty much everything that catches my attention. Also my font is Droid Sans mono for anyone caring enough to make a blog.
